At the beginning of the new year, Istanbul will host the second edition of the football championship “Al-Zain League”. Which will compete for the “Inji Group” Cup, with the participation of 32 teams from the communities residing in Turkey.
The tournament will be held in stadiums in the Florya district of Istanbul. The organizers aim to project a good image of Turkish societies through the tournament and explore football sports talent.
The tournament organizer, Majed Homsi, said that the league “was organized under the full sponsorship and support of the INCE group and will be held in medium (6 + 1) stadiums in the Florya district of Istanbul.
The tournament will kick off with the grand opening ceremony on January 30 at 12:00 noon (15:00 GMT). The first match will start one hour after the opening.
Details of the Community Football Tournament in Turkey
Regarding the tournament’s organization and details, Al-Homsi said: “In order to take care of the athletes and discover talents. The sponsoring company bears the costs and fees for the stadiums, as well as the uniforms of the referee, organization and players.”
He pointed out that the league “will include 32 teams representing foreign communities as well as Arab communities. Including Syria, Egypt, Iraq, Morocco, Sudan, Libya and Yemen, there will also be teams from Africa and mixed teams from communities.”
According to Homsi, the aim of the course is to “discover talents in football and subsequently qualify them for professionalism.” Noting that “the tournament prizes for the first place will be a cup, medals, uniforms, cash prizes and other prizes for the second place.”
In addition to signing professional contracts with the best 22 players at the end of the tournament. There are other prizes out there. Fair play, top scorer of the tournament, best player of the tournament and best goalkeeper.
Referring to the importance of the tournament and its management, Al-Homsi said, “The tournament is run by a jury of the Turkish brothers. The motto of the tournament is (Invest in your health) and the name of the tournament cup is Engy Group Cup.”
According to Al-Homsi, the importance of the tournament lies in “gathering the children of foreign communities residing in Turkey. And directing them with a team of Turkish rulers as an expression of brotherhood “and full commitment to the ethical and sports rules.”
The future tournaments will include more than one nationality and will be opened by Al-Mahtran Troupe for Ottoman Heritage, Art and Music.
Al-Homsi concluded his speech by wishing “the best of luck to all participating teams in presenting the best image for foreign communities in Turkey.”
