Turkey establishes a factory for domestic electric car batteries

According to the Ministry of Industry, the factory will manufacture battery cells and models, which are “one of the most important parts of electric cars ، The Turkish Ministry of Industry and Technology, in partnership with China, announced that Turkey is setting up a factory for the production of batteries for the local electric car “TOGG” in the west of Bursa.

The ministry added in a statement today, Saturday, that Turkey is establishing the factory in the Gemlik district of Bursa, which will provide job opportunities for 2,200 people ، The statement stated that the power station was set up in cooperation with the Chinese energy company “Varasys”.

He pointed out that after the opening of the factory, “one of the most important parts of electric cars” will be the production of battery cells and their models.

Turkish Industry and Technology Minister Mustafa Varank said in a tweet on Twitter. The project to establish the country’s first electric car battery factory has the support of the Turkish government.

And in December 2019, Turkey revealed the birth of the first national car. It will be put into operation within 3 years and will work on the streets of the country, being produced entirely by local means.
